Kochi, India – Day 2

Friday 29th September 2017 (day 2)

Today I feel much better. We spent the morning booking two hotels and trains. It is currently a holiday in India and therefore all hotels are either sold out or very expensive. We struggled, but we finally made a plan.

Tomorrow (30th September) we will take a cab (because it is the same price as the train) to Alappuzha (Alleppey) and stay in a hotel there for 5 days whilst visiting the backwaters and the water villages. We have then booked a 16 hour train to Goa :0 where we have booked another hotel for 3 nights near Agonda beach! 🙂 Sorted!

Anyway, we spent the rest of today wandering. Really nice. Lots of photos and friendly people. Coffee and brownie at the ‘Pepperhouse’ which was SO SO NICE and then a visit to ‘Dhobi Khali’ – a public laundry house. It was an amazing experience to see how the community all come together to wash their clothes.
